My company had a bunch of extra Apple usb keyboards, so I snagged one. It's the clear one that comes with the G4's. Very nice and it works, even the 2 extra usb ports built on it work. Everything is just fine except the 4 buttons above the number pad, 3 volume and an eject. I was wondering if there was a driver or utility to get them to work. It's not a big deal if there is nothing, but I think it'd be nice if they did.

Also what I thought was interesting was the apple key is used as the windows key. Kinda neat.

I'm not really surprised that the keyboard works w/ Windows. MacOS is basically just a mishmash of Windows and Linux/Unix.

you may want to try the software that Compaq/MS/Dell etc ships with their keyboards for setting up the special buttons. Since the apple key works as the Win key, maybe one of those apps will work also.

I doubt you could get the Apple software to work on your PC without waaaay more trouble than it's worth.

Accually, all of the GUI interfaces are derived from the original that was created by the Zerox Corp. Steve Jobs of Mac & Apple then took it to make the original Mac OS which was then stolen and hacked into Windows. Linux is nothing more than the reliablity of Unix/Mac with the nice, easy (if anything that comes from Microsoft can be said to be easy; well once you have all of the holes filled with patches, then maybe) to use interface of Microsoft. I am cuurently waiting for Lindows and praying that it will ba as good as they say because I can't stand Microsoft but have to use it because I enjoy gaming!

Sorry to get off on my little "soap box"
