If you remember correctly, I have been working on a project called fah-database. Well its finished. Kinda. I found a programmer but ended up having a number of arguments with him about how I wanted the program to work and what data to collect I finally gave up and let him do it his way. In the end, YURT (the new name) is about 70% of what I had originally wanted and since I dont have the time to change it or to make it 100% what I wanted right now it will have to do. If nothing else this could be a stepping stone to something better.

Visit http://yurt.blaszczak.com/ to download the program, current stats, and more info about the project. As of this posting there are 130 machines running YURT. The more we get the better the data will be.

What YURT does is simple. Its a small program that collects data about your folding@home progress and adds the data to a website database where it can be viewed against other similar or totally different systems. Want to know if Intel really is better at folding? This is the way to find out. Is a 3400+ faster than a 3800+? Stop by and see.

The website has an average PPD for each WU and an average PPD for each CPU (average of all WUs run on that machine)

Looks great! I dont think it will get any info from my diskless rigs, but for the others, this will prove to be of great value.

Well I'm glad you all like it so far. The more people who use it the better the data will be for everyone.

As far as that error goes, THF, I got that one one system of mine as well. A simple restart fixed it for me. Are ya still getting it?

New version, 1.1 is now out.

There was a bug in the old version which caused the database to be incorrect. the new version fixes this. Any computer running the old version will now be ignored so please update your systems!

Yup, it can be run as a service and automatically sends all the stats, its all in the documents on how to set it up. enjoy.

Looks usefull in that i assume it does the data collection automatically?

I would give it a try if i wasn't beta testing.

yes its all automatically if setup as a service. just boot the system up and it starts working. As far as the beta WUs are concerned, the program 'should' ignore all beta units but since I didnt actually write the program and since the guy who did thought all my ideas were crap I dont know if it actually does or not. I KNOW I told him to make it ignore them but I dont know if it does or not.

Not like it matters, if all your systems are running beta then all the data would be ignored and there would be no point in running it.

If you're running YURT, please not that it has been updated. You can get Version 1.11 and instructions for installing it from the http://yurt.blaszczak.com/ site.

Thanks! If you have any questions, please use the email address in the documentation (or on the website) as I don't frequent this forum. I'm just passin' through as I find places where it was "advertised" to make sure its users know it was updated.
