Ok, I now oficially hate 3DFx
Got a 1.2 Ghz athalon
1 gig 133 ram
Abit kt7a motherboard
Love everything but the graphics card.
It will not initiate if the bus speed is set to 133.
It just does not work.
If i set it back to 100 it works.
Is it the graphics card or the MB.
And does anyone know how to fix it, or bypass it...other than buying a new card. That will be done in a couple months.
I upped the bus to 107...before it knocks out again.

Can anyone help? :p

Welcome to the forums!

I have 3 voodoo3 cards, 1 PCI version and the others AGP flavor. Both AGP cards have worked flawlessly at any bus speed I care to throw at them, 66 on up to 160mhzFSB, and the PCI was tossed into a box where it has ran on a 37mhz PCI bus for about 8 months now with no problems.

My voodoos were the only vid cards I have ever had that just seemed to ignore whatever their bus speed was and just work.

I'm inclined to think either you got a super unlucky card, or your KT7A doesn't like it. Does that board have official support for 133mhz FSB and a 1/2 divisor for the AGP bus? If it only has a 2/3 divisor, well of course it's not gonna work- V3 are tough hardy cards but not THAT tough!:D

You might wanna talk to Shadow (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=6130) about your current problem. I believe that he was big on Voodoo cards for quite a long time.

My problem is with boot up. It just will not boot up if I give it the full 133/33. I will check on my drivers, but they are the newest I have found so far. I am wondering if it is the cards bios? I am looking into that next. I am going to play with it again tonight and see what I can do.
