I got an AMD Athlon 800Mhz from Time Computers and am wondering how i get the most out of it. I overclocked it the other night to 956Mhz then up'd the FSB to 120 from its original 100 status and it crashed, didn't load anything then. The monitor didn't respond and the system froze before it even did anything. I got a little worried because i didn't know what to do to fix it but then thought about the jumpers. I removed one and the system went back to its original state.
I've got the FSB working at 105 now and the voltage at 1.6V but i'm only getting a little extra MHZ for it - i would like to try and go for something nearer the Ghz but don't know what settings to do for best stability.
I'll get the air-flow sorted around the casing, but would just to know if anyone has played around with a chip like mine already???

If you can help would be great ;)

There are many thing that you have to consider.
does your power supply have enough voltage?
how about the heat?
some time it the motherboard.
also it might be your video card because when you over clock the CPU voltage not the multiplier you actually overclocking the cad also.

how about some more information about your system like Mainboard brand model, any hardware.
be specific.

To start we need to know what motherboard you have and what your temps are under load.

Welcome to the forums both of you guys.
