Hey guys,

If you noticed, I don't have a rig yet (slowly getting the components for one). So I'd like somebody to test out a PSU for me. I'm jumping at a low cost server PSU which has a nice beefy 12V rail (46 A). I need volunteers with a CF or SLI setup to help me test this out. I was reading THIS (http://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1537) excellent thread at badcaps.net and man, I'm sold!

Ideally, I would prefer somebody with an x1900xtx CF setup.

I have not bought the unit yet, so please pm me if you are interested. Heck, infact I'd be willing to let this PSU bounce around till I get my rig setup. Just pm me and I'll draw up a list of people willing to test this out.

Some things to bear in mind:
The PSU will be brand new.
I am not sure about the return policy of the store and the company (I'll find out in a few days), so till then, if you blow it up, please get me a new one. :)
Please pay for shipping (when you transfer it to the next person, I'll handle shipping from my side).
Please post your results (voltages, OC stablity etc) in this thread.
Please make sure you pack the unit properly before you pass it on to the next person. In case of damage during shipping, the person who shipped it will be responsible.
Please refrain from using this heavy unit as a murder weapon. :DOther than that, let the toasting begin :D

Why not just go with one of the ATI approved PSU's for CF and save yourself some headaches? I doubt you'll get much interest if people have to take the time to test this for you as well as pay shipping to the next guy ;)

Well, I'd like to try something new and most of those PSU's are a bit more expensive than this one :)

I thought people would be willing to pass it around and run a few detailed tests. If there is no interest here, maybe somebody on another forum may be willing to help.

Can it fit in a flat-rate box like all the PSUs I jam in there? If so, it's only $8.10 to ship it around.

I see no reason why it should not as this is a standard ATX form factor. Ofcourse, I'll get rid of all the garbage stock packaging. :D

I've found somebody on another forum to do a fully metered test with a professional PSU tester. It would be nice if I could compare it with RW results. Since there is not much interest here, I'll think of something myself and get some testing done locally.

I'll ask a mod to delete this thread after the last WC game today. Speaking of which, Brazil and France play today. :D

I should have some beefy cards in a month, but no earlier, if you can wait that long.

I'll have the PSU. Let me know when you are ready. Heck man, I thought your xtx's bit the dust, a new set would cost almost a G! If I have to rob somebody, it would have to be you!
