It's way too quiet in the Seti forum so here is some news.

BOINC Seti runs just fine on Vista Beta 2, 32 bit version.

Good to hear that. My friend is downloading 64bit version, Ill try that with Boinc.

I'm running Vista at work, and I'm not impressed at all. I was all excited and geeked with XP beta2, but Vista is seriously lacking. It's nothing but eye candy that is a resource hog imo.

I installed Vista yesterday and all seems to be working fine. Looks great but it's true that it's a ressource hog. Boinc however doesn't seem to mind because my Einstein workunits are finishing in the same time as with XP.

I've been crunching for two days with vista now and it's weird, everything like booting up, opening programs etc is slower but my einstein units are crunching a little faster. Weird!

Yeah, Vista is much slower. However I have read that it's supposed to be going into it's optimizing phase now which should iron out some of the pokeyness. I also read that it's taking longer to boot and do things becasue it's in debug mode right now.

I have no way of knowing if the above is true or not, but it sounds like it's within the realm of reality.

Yeah I ran BOINC and SETI 2 days straight in Vista Beta 2 32Bit and was all totally smooth. :)

Well I finally got some new ram for my vista rig, it only had 512 before and now has a gig. What a difference that extra ram did! It's night and day, it's so much snappier now, everything runs much smoother now. Microsoft recommands at least 512 of ram for vista, this is too low in my experience of it so far.
