Gonna RAID0 'em.

Dang, I just realized how much I spent just now. :( Straight took a big ol' chunk out of the PayPal account. I still have Mobo, RAM, Proc & GPU to buy. :(

I hope they're fast!

I had a single 1st gen Raptor 74GB 8mb HDD and I thought it was fast. These should scream. :)

Hm. Iv always wanted a raptor but their soo expensive.. and I do not think a 2 bar windows loading time is worth trippling the ammount of money that a 74 GB HD is worth.. But yeah.. im a cheapo and have nothing to waste.. Thats just my two cents.. Good luck!

ilove my raptor, with a 74g Ultra320 SCSI drive as my secondary :D on an adapter controller with 128mb of ram

vrooooooooooom

after it finds my scsi controller and drives , i see the XP screen for literally 1-2 seconds and i am at my login screen.

I wonder if I should grab two of these now while they've got a rebate or wait until the 36GB versions come out and get two of those? I'm guessing the 36GB versions will be about $100 each so I would save about $60 if I went with two of those instead of two of the 75Gb's. $60 isn't much money when you think that I would be able to double the capacity. 36GB's worth of drive is more than I need anyway. I have my computer leaded up with all sorts of "stuff" and only up to about 18 GB's worth of files.

Sorry didn't mean to get off track. Congratulations on your new drives and definitely let us know how they work out.

That would be so nice. When I dream about HDs I see 4 74G raptors.
Now I have to buy a lotto ticket this week, O if win raptors for all! :beer:
