Dell has the 2407FPW for $807 (http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&oc=2407FPW)

Cheaper than my 2405 was!

and I wouldn't doubt if you can find a coupon to make it cheaper! (if anything you could probably buy one of eBay or something!)

EDIT: uhh oops....I just saw that is says: "Preliminary shipdate: unavailable"

But at least you can secure it at this price :)

I dont think thats much to worry about. I just got a 2007FPW and it said shipdate unavailable and it was here in 2 days. Standard ground shipping too! I guess it helps when the regional depot is less than 30 min away and that was the first stop once it left dell.

not really, apparently the main advantage is HDMI support or something along those lines (some wacked out new connection for vista or so i hear)

with HDMI you can hook up your $900 PS3 :P

When I ordered mine, i called and gave the guy the coupon codes and he said he would "expedite it" and I got it within the week.

the LCD screens are the same from what I have been reading. I have a 2405, and the 2407 was supposedly just the HDMI version

........different screens. Forgot what models they used, but it's on the Dell forums.


Anyone know if they fixed the banding issue yet? I've heard some say yes, some no. I don't want to get one, and have that issue for that much money....
