Alrighty folks, i've been modding my rig (including the watercooling) for over 2 weeks now, and it's well on it's way to completion! I'd post the images here, but i'll save the 56k folks the hassle, and link to the site, i've cropped the images a bit, but i didn't want to lose the perspective, so they're still a decent size picture, unless youre at 1280x1024 which is what i use, then it will look smaller. I think it's lookin wild as can be, black floppy drive coming soon, my bong will be completed soon as well, gotta paint it and wrap it with foam(sound deadening action!) Whatcha think?

doh, forgot the link! here it is:

Great looking setup, looks like you put a lot of money and effort into it! Hope it cools well, but isn't Hawaii too humid for a bong? I know I wouldn't use one if I were still living in Singapore...

nah, relative humidity is almost never above 70percent contrary to what most people think. There are other areas of the island that are higher, but no one lives there, houses would rot! humidity would be good for a bong anyhow, less air to liquid evaporation, air's saturated already.

temps are under 36c all the time!

very very nice! I like the neon!

Personally, I'd try to clean up the hoses a little bit, or add something that'd reflect the light more! That'd be cool!

It must be nice to live in Hawaii ^^

Yeah, i'm gonna have to say no to the cleaning of the hoses a bit, they're about as neat as they can get, remember that it's using a bong and not just a circular watercooling system, so it requires a couple extra hoses for that, and well, i'll have to go with no on the reflective stuff, since i can't tell what color anything is in my case at all, the blue is everywhere, just like i want it, oh, and yeah, um, Hawaii is nice!

WOW, thats a great looking setup you got there. I think the somewhat wild looking hoses make it look totally cool!

Nice. Great job! :D I like what you did with the bays and the water cooled setup.

Nice. I like the cooler on the bottom.

A bong would have less evaporation in a high humidity climate, but since there would be little evaporation there would be less cooling ablility. In a dry area they cool better, but lose more water.

Your system looks awesome. I used the same stuff from scot at overclockershideout as well. Hes having a new promo where best rig that a customer shows gets a $100 shopping spree. Im sure yours has a chance.

Looks very good. The only thing I might recommend would be that you paint the elbows black so they match the rest of the system. Even if you don't, though, it looks great.
BTW, why don't you just paint the floppy black instead of getting a black one?

yeah, i usually find it much nicer to not worry about wires getting in there and makin a ton of noise or even ripping which would really suck. an open fan is a dangerous thing. grills also help to catch dust that would otherwise get into the system and make it more difficult to clean, with the grill you just zap the dust away with air and you're done. i also run filters on my intake fans.

I placed a shortcut to the drive on my desktop, right clicking it and selecting eject does the trick just fine. I have also got the covers mounted just right so that if you push on them when they're closed, it activates the open button and voila!

no updated pics as of yet, waiting on some stuff in the mail, damn Hawaii and their slow mail! anyhow, only things i've done is make the floppy black and added an i/o port to the front for firewire, usb, mouse, kb, etc. got that from coolerguys.com, really worth it if you use these things regularly. I'm also working on my 3dmark score some more, i'm over 9k now, workin on 9500 to hopefully have in the next week. I've got yahoo messenger, dunno bout that aim stuff, never tried it, but i guess it can't hurt. i'll reply with a screenname.
