View Full Version : sk6 question
I am running an SK6 heat sink with a delta 50 cfm fan. Just finished some case work, painting and such, not alterations to system. Fire her up and cpu temps are 10 degrees above normal. Only thing done to interior parts is some jostling, moving, etc. The sk6 has always felt "loose" in that it will rotate to a degree or two rotational movement. I have added pressure to the clip (socket 370) but it still moves a little as the cpu only contacts a small area and there is slack in the 370 clip. Help?
Ok, nevermind. I did add a small ramp to force air from intake towards videocard. Took it out and instant 10 degreee difference. I wouldn't have thought that little bit of deflection would make a 10 degree diff. Anyway, about the sk6 looseness problem, anyone?

well my sk-6 a tad bit lose too, but long as its in there pretty tight it shouldnt be a problem. The main thing to watch is your temps. If there abnormally high ( about 50+) then u'll need to start worry about it. Otherwise it should be just fine. :D
