I was just woundering...
Does any of you think how a perfect Mobo will be???
I would like to make a Mobo that i could say:
Fsb: any Fsb that i want!
Pci: no multipliers... If i wanted to put 33 Mhz them it would be 33 Mhz! Regardless of what Fsb speed i choosed.
Agp: Same thing...
Wouldnt that be great?!?
Why dont we see any Board manufacter do this?

endless amount over overclocking setting, built in geforce 3 ti500, built in lan, built in THX sound, will support any kind of socket processor ever made thatd be sweet

Just have to disagree on some things about this...
The words "built in" give me goose bumps! I really don't like anything that comes extra besides the board itself!
If something gets screwed up you have to put it in for repair (if its still in warranty) or have to buy a replacement!!!
I really don't like to be that dependant!
As for "...support any kind of socket processor ever made thatd be sweet..." now that i have agree with you!!!
Compatibility is essential, just like Dark Illusion said!

100% in agreement: I can accept ide controllers, but I will not pay money for a mobo with nic, sound or especially video onboard. They tend to be lower quality, more difficult to find drivers for and sometimes difficult to disable.
I actually preferred the way it was setup on my 486: cpu, ram, cache and buses!
I had this sweet 4 channel ide controller..............;)
