it keeps crashing to desktop when i try to load my saved game but i can start a new game and load multiplayer maps

i know this probably means my save is corrupted(it worked just fine yesterday.....) but is there any possible way to recover it?

i heard its just because of a problem with the 1.05 patch. search the official fear forums. someone posted a fix there. also. use the search feature more here and on other forums. Search search search search :p

ooo ok good bc i just downloaded the 1.5 a little while ago

and i know i know, i was just ****ed off lol i was just like WTF MY ****ING FEAR FILE NOOOOO

ok thanks i found a manual fix for the problem and they're supposively releasing a hotfix soon

it's on sierra's website - just navigate to the fear forums and theres a sticky on the problem and someone posted the fix in there

I had that problem with mine, but I just went and played HL2 some more. Might be time to go back.

I found it on some other forum...it was an easy fix. I can post it if anyone needs me too. There is a file required though and I cannot host it, but I can probably find the link to the fix again.
