Long story short: I've run Sharaza from another drive, previous XP install (e.g didn't install it), associated torrents to open with it. Changed the association and icon back to bit tornado, and now they look horrible:

The weird thing is, that the normal bit tornado icon doesn't seem to exist anywhere, at least not in the exe file. In an explorer window, it looks ok, but as you've probably seen, on the desktop, it looks like it's been drawn by a 5 year old. The last time this happened (e.g installing any torrent program alongside bit tornado), I couldn't fix it until I reformatted. Either you guys know where the original icon would be (I've searched the BT installer and program file), or has BT installed, and could possibly extract the icon and send it to me? It would be much appreciated...

so you did the replace icon thing? (e.g. control panel --> folder options-->file association) a little unclear

btw, the link doesn't work

also try reinstalling bittornado.

I did try replacing the icon, but of course I had to choose an exe, dll or icon. In the bit tornado exe, there actually isn't the default icon, just the fugly one I tried to upload. Reinstalling BT has no effect, for some reason. I fixed the problem, sort of - rebuilt the icon myself. Pretty strange that you can have a non-existant icon like that
