I have 2 computers in 1 cable modem (Toshiba working fine). How can I share files/printer between them
the easiest way to do it would be to buy a hub (10/100), plug your modem into the Uplink port on it, and then run cable from the hub to both of your comptuers. That way they'll be able to talk to eachother.

Most ISP's don't like this solution, many wont let you connect (like mine). You'll need a small router with NAT, or set up some kind of Internet sharing on one of the computers with 2 network cards.

Actually, unless you only plan on connecting only 2 computers and can make your own cables, you will need either 3 network cards and a hub, or 2 network cards and a home router with NAT. I guess you can get 2 network cards and a hub, but if you do that you'll have to pay your ISP for a 2nd IP, which usually isn't cheap.
