View Full Version : NVIDIA drivers ?
Sooooo, where do YOU get them???
Until a few weeks ago my one and only source of Geforce-info came in the form of Christopher Hill's exelent Geforce Faq. But it seems that the faq isn't maintained anymore. Or maybe CH is on vacation?? Well, can't blame him for that ;)
Anyway. The latest driver on the faq is 21.81 and I know from Reactorcritical.com that that's not quite the most recent one...
Appart from reactorcritical I can't really find a nice, comprehensive and above all, complete site to keep track of the NVIDIA drivers.

I believe the Det 22.80 is the lastest Nvidia driver of the beta version. Works good in newer games with more FPS. Gave me 1.1 FPS increase in Q3A with my GTS 32mb. Download Here (http://www.warp2search.net/download.php?op=viewsdownload&sid=1)
**Edit** you might have to type in "22.80" in the search box in the center of the web page.

No, I said, it's the beta version. And technically speaking, the latest driver of all Detonator drivers is 22.80, not 21.83.

don't use the 21.83 drivers. If you read other posts in the drivers section they performed badly. Only those who thought they were alright obviously didn't try the newer 22.xx series. Big gains if you uninstalled the lst ones right. You shouldn't try and install over your original otherwise it tends to leave parts of the last one installed drivers and you actually don't see the full result of the newest version you installed. Read these posts:
21.83's are junk (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40499)
And my benchmarks to which i've run more than once afterwards to make sure the results were the same. It took hours to do and many computer restarts.
My benchmarks on latest det drivers 21.xx - 22.xx (http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45343)
http://www.ipkonfig.com
The .88 and the .81 seem to have similar performances .. Good performances.

I just edited that link to show the comparisons to the right link. I had 2 tests i did and linked to the wrong one. Yeh those drivers you mentioned were close to each other but nowhere close to the 22.xx series! Also what i failed to include was the affects some of those drivers had when i benchmarked them. Such things were colors were off and flicking or studdering on some of 3dmark2001 tests. I forgot which driver it was but it actaully made the 5th and 6th test (in the lobby) stop for a second then continue. It did it every pass i made.
