You have to set your TV to the AVX setting, or if your TV doesn't have that, try putting it on channel 00 or 01.

Plug it into the SCART socket on your TV with an adapter or something then switch to AV1 or AV2 etc, try these channels anyway as they are usually for recieving input.
Also try tuning to search for a signal.
hmm you mean..RCA ? plugs like Red,White,Yellow that plug on the TV or VCR. ? but what i have is a thing that i can plug 4 sets of RCA plus and 4 sets of S-Video plugs then one plug to the TV? you get it? LOL
well its complicated but i think all i need is a adapter for S-Video to RCA
-ps-
i wanted to kno if a S-video cable will out put Sound? or just Video? i think its just Video thats why its called S-V but hey never kno =P
or do i need some software?
First of all, make sure you have the tv set to recieve the signal from teh svideo in, like everyone else said.
Second, you need drivers! I am going to basically tell you what I need for my gainward geforce3 tv out, but here goes....
plug in the tv so the computer would recognize it like plug n play. THEN install the wdm drivers (tv out driver stuff) if you need to. If you don't, there shoudl be a tv out option in the display settings in your control panel. My friends DELL desktop is liek that. Just plug it in and enable it. One of those ways should work.

sorry man, the .bmp didn't work.
got a couple questions for you.
1) does the TV have a S-video plug that is labled INPUT?
2) if it does, it should say something to indicate what line it is, like line 1, line 2, etc. so check to see if your tv is turned to the appropriate input (yes, the tv/video button usually selects those). did that help?
3) right click on a blank part of the desktop, go to properties, settings, advanced. browse around in the advanced settings and see if you notice a tv section or anything that indicates the tv output for your card. if you do see that, is it set to enable tv out?
4) if your cd doesnt work, have you tried downloading the drivers from the manufacturers website?
good luck, keep us posted!

To put your video out to the tv you have to place you tv in VIDEO mode just like if you have dvd player. Like my rca tv has a button called who/input i press it my tv goes blank and says vid right on the top right handside.....at this point it is waiting for input.........after this used you card and go tv out........your monitor should go black and then it pops up on your tv........i have the same video card and it works fine.

Yes s-video is just video. It splits the video signal into two parts Chromasence and Lumincense, man those spellings are really bad, but I don't want to look it up now:)
Are you trying to plug it into the DVD player, TV or do you have some sort of external switcher?
It seems like you don't have the proper drivers loaded if the TV setting is blanked out, but that could be because it is connected wrong too.
Also if you have a higher than 800x600 resolution lower it cause your TV can't produce higher anyway and that may be the problem.
Easiest ways to hook it up:
TV without s-video:
Connect a s-video to RCA adapter to the card and connect the RCA to the TV. Choose the input from your TV menu(probably 1,2,etc). Go back and set it up through settings on your computer.
TV with s-video:
Plug the s-video from the card right into the TV. Choose the input from your TV menu(probably 1,2,etc). Unlike RCA using s-video you may need to tell the TV to use it instead of the RCA default setting. Go back and set it up through settings on your computer.

Ithought it would display it! AAh...........
AsusLive is only for CAPTURING video from a VCR, DVD player or external tuner. It's the option in advenced properties you need to enable. There is also a small program to do the switching easier, something like AsusTV or something.. On my Asus 6800DeLuxe, i go to one ofe the tabs (I'm on a different machine now, so I don't have the names.) There it says something like: Display: VGA The VGA is a box where you can select TV instead. Resolution is then changed to 800*600 @ 50Hz and TV out is enabled.

Turn on the TV before you power up your comp.
That should do it (at least when my comp is on and I turn on the TV afterwards that option is shaded as well).
Just shoot

Not sure If this is your problem. Do what KILLorBE says then once work set tv out resolution to 640 X 480. With input mode set to s-video. With my RCA it won't display anything higher then 640 x 480. it is nice to play quake on a 32 " tv.
