There was almost no chance of this before but for some reason, AMD went ahead with the 1200 Duron which was supposed to be tied with the 1900XP. So, if my theory is right, the XP2000+ could start to hit the shelves by end of December.

The 1.3GHz Morgan will definately be here in late december. And then.. only one more Morgan to go, the 1.4GHz. At 1.4GHz, the Morgan core is exhausted and wont go any further. Even, the proto morgans AMD has appearently wont even hit 1450MHz.

hmm, maybe its time for .13 microns, come on AMD, bring em out. Our 3-phase mobos are ready for .13 .

Yea, that would be cool if AMD starts manufacturing .13µm CPUs!!!! They will have to be much more overclockable = Faster = Will beat Intel in every test!!!!

As we see on the home page today, AMD Zone (http://www.amdzone.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=934&page=5) says they got a duron 13 up to 1.46 by dropping the multiplier and running it at fsb266.

Any one know: what is a "golden socket"? cause they said they used one to do it.

You don't need a golden socket because your board should have Multiplier Voltage and FSB options.

If it doesn't consider buying a new board.

I don't think theres such thing as a Golden Socket anyway, the last I knew they were doing Golden Slot things.
