Attention owners of Athlon/Duron Motherboards with chipets that only support the 200fsb and NOT 266FSB, because there is hope!
OK, the new AthlonXPs are hard to unlock but there possible. Now, if you know what your doing, you can simply redo the defualt Multiplier. OK, THIS WHOLE THING IS ABOUT THE MULTIPLIERS people. Anyway, once you figure out which multiplier you want, just key it into the 5 bridges on the L1s. (HELP, someone know of that webpage that has the thingys for multiplers for the AthlonXPs???)
once you get that, your athlon will run @ up to 1700MHz, which is the highest hardware setting in the AthlonXP bridges.
100 x 17 = 1.7GHz
I heard that there is even an 18X multiplier but getting to that might need alot of work. And do not worry for these multipliers are HARDWARE which overrides the MAX that your motherboard uses.
