I have a compaq presario v5101us and I want to upgrade the memory. I comes with pc2700 modules. I am wondering if getting pc3200 would show any improvement in performance.

No, The motherboard runs at 333MHz FSB. Putting faster memory in would only result in that memory clocking down to match the FSB.

No it shouldn't yield too much performance. btw, if you are looking for a 512 stick of pc2700, I need to get rid of mine. PM me for info.
