Hello!
A quick question - I am running an unlocked XP 1800+ on an shuttle AK31 mobo. Currently it is stable at 1.6 ghz (12 X 134 FSB). CPU temp usualy aroun 42c under heavy load. I would like to put the fsb higher, but every time I try, even just to 135, Windows won't load. Vcore is at 1.75. What Should I try?
Thanks!

Have you tried lowering the multiplier just to make sure your cpu speed has nothing to do with not being able to boot? Try to narrow the problem down to ram or a peripheral card.

Thanks!
upped the fsb to 138 with a 10.5 multiplyer. had to up the Vcore. This is my first OC so thanks for all the help. Is it better to OC the FSB or to run a higher multiplier?

fsb overclocks all of your cards

I need a fact, because every body in here gave different temp opinion. What is the good idle temp on CPU and board, and load temp on CPU and board, and what is high temp, where you will be ok, but not to hot.
Thanks.:(

i run 39c idle, 45c full load, i have motherboard monitor/shutdown now set to turn my compute roff if it reaches 65c, just as a precaution, 90c is when you get into danger
