I have a leadtek gf2ultra. The ram comes with heat spreader plates and they are so hot that they would burn your finger off. Would it help if I put small aluminum heatsinks on top of the heat spreaders?

Bob,

I have that same card and I cant complain as Leadteks have always been great overclockers in my experience.

Regarding those heatspreaders, I feel that I would have prefered if Leadtek used a heatspreader with some fin area.

What I did was take off the GPU heatsink as the fan on it is pretty weak and thats a shame as the heatsink is decent, I also took off the heatspreaders and replaced it with an Alpha pal 15u and used Radio shack ramsinks and just customized them a bit, but even stock it will perform better than the flat heatspreader.

or you could put some small fans on the memory or a fan on the side of you case so it blows at all your cards

Ramsinks are better than fans - they don't make noise :)
