I've heard people say they use prime95 to test stabillity what is this? I downloaded something called this and it was weird.
Whats the best benchmark, i have all the 3dmarks...video mark etc.
What exactly are you wanting to benchmark?
Prime95 isn't so much a benchmark as it is a stability test for your overclock.

I meant stability!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Prime 95 was like seti or something where people contribute but it didn't work.
I would really recommend CPUBurn..
My temps with CPU Burn were 5 degrees more from my Seti.. That thing puts alot of stress on the comp.
Go to google and search...
"Download xxxxxxx"
x=The Program... Not the other one ehhe

If you want a BM that leans on your CPU pretty hard, good ol' Final Reality ain't bad. Nice to watch, too. And you can loop it easily if desired.

If you REALLY want to test the stability of your cpu try this program called TOAST
Many people think thier systems are stable running Prime95, CPUburn Seti and the like........but if you really want to test your system try this.... Running this for 5-10 minutes is the equivalant of running all those tests mentioned above for 24 hours...
Thank Pinky for posting this file on his ftp server
Dirct link to Toast.exe (ftp://speshalk.dyndns.org/_shared files/Motherboard and CPU Tweak Files/Toast.exe)
Pinky's Overclocking Yatta files (ftp://speshalk.dyndns.org/_shared%20files/)
CPUBurn is like nothing like seti or prime 95.. :) Its one hell of a burn in.

if you tell me what problems your having with prime im pretty sure i can help you threw them
prime95 on pority 10 doing a 100,000 diget test is a mighty powerfull test of a cpu ( for stablity anyway)
as for bench marks you can go to this page and see how your iteration times compare to other peoples

WOW I didn't think anyone used that anymore.
I love that little program. I use it when I'm tweaking my system to see if it runs any faster or not.
