I need a fact, because every body in here gave different temp opinion. What is the good idle temp on CPU and board, and load temp on CPU and board, and what is high temp, where you will be ok, but not to hot.
Thanks.
Hopefully someone who knows that mobo will post here, but I haven't used one of them.
Temps vary from cpu to cpu, mobo to mobo and case to case. Different people may be happy with higher/lower temps.
If you want AMD's spec, they have them all listed in the Tech Documents on their website. But the temps they say are too high for my rigs to be stable!
My pc's start crashing at 50c. I'd suggest you track your temps a while and find your pc's limits- I think you'll find the cpu load temp limit to be about 48/50c, and a happy pc around 42c
Personally, I like to keep AMD chips under 50C while under full load. Idle doesn't matter to me all that much as mine are rarely idle since I run SETI 24/7. Typically, if your load was around 48C-50C you would see an idle temp of around 40C-43C with good air cooling.
Getting up into the 50s isn't dangerous, also in my opinion, but I've found when achieving high overclocks I have alot of problems if my core temps begin to creep over 50C.
Board temps, regardless of the brand, should be kept in the low to mid 20Cs in my opinion. Overall motherboard temps are a fairly good indication of how well your case is circulating cool air. High board temps means you aren't getting enough cool air circulated in and the hot air isn't finding its way out like it should...could be possible you have a bad "pocket" in there as well where cool air just isn't making it to. Binding cables and such can help a great deal in these cases.
You probably don't want to hear this, but mine is stable under load at 58 c. Idle its 50 c, but I am still asking the same questions as yourself, and judging by all of the replies I had in the past, it needs to be a lot cooler. I'm definately going to look at water cooling cos things i've tried on my case are not helping, I do believe from what I have read on these forums is that they do run very high temps.

Max temp under load is 70C for an extended period of time. Max temp period is 90C (you don't want it ther for long).
If you're using the in-socket thermistor then you want to keep the temps under 60C (due to the inaccurate nature of the thing..see here (http://www.overclockers.com/tips507/)).
*Moved to "Cooling"*
i'm monitoring my temps from the actual chip, is this the most accurate way around it (Using ASUS PC Probe)
