View Full Version : Would new video improve?
I was wondering if adding a new video to this ole P120 (replace the PCI w/4 megs ram w/ PCI w/16 or 32 megs of ram) would improve performance. If so or not so...what could I expect to see???
Compaq ( Computer old man, please answer question)
P120
104 MB RAM
SiS PCI 4 MB

it would improve, but only if you got one with hardware T&L like a Radeon SDR PCI, or a MX400, but obviously your games will be still very slow because of the CPU....

means that Texture and lighting is takien care of on the video card itself, tkaes a lot of load off the cpu.....the only new video cards i know of without it are the the KyroIIs, Radeons and Geforce2 sare good, but it might be cheaper to upgrade you cpu itself to get more performance, get an ECS k&S5A and SDR ram and a Duron 850 for like 100$ off pricxewatch...
Hey Funny Person1, what is ECS k&S5A and a duran 850??? Is that the MoBo and CPU???
I'am novice here!!!!!!!! :(
