Althon 1700+ overlocking

hi guy

im new to the group i got a msi kt7pro 2 ru kt266a chipset and a althon 1700+.My chip is not unlocked and is running at 146fsb 11x for a total of 1606 mhz would i get any better performance by unlocking the chip

Probably not. If you can't get the fsb over 146 then its probably the cpu and not your system but you will need to make sure its not your system (memory or another component) stopping you from going higher.
Increasing the cpu voltage alot of times can help you get a higher overclock but also creates more heat so you need make sure your temps are reasonable before even raising the voltage.
