I got a petlier (thermal electric cooler, TEC) a while ago just to mess around with. But latly ive been overclocking my GeForce (ASUS V6800 Deluxe) to try and get more life out of it. I added a larger heat sink made for a older pentium or something. It's 2" by 2" and about an 1 1/2" tall fan and all. This helped, temps befor where around 120F idel and now are around 100F. The TEC I have is a pretty small one, 38 watts. What I want to know is weather it will work to cool the card. I plan to put it directy on the chip, with arctic silver or something, since the TEC is almost the same size so i dont think i need a cold plate, then put the curent heatsink and fan on it. Will this work or dose my TEC not have enough power to move the heat away? Other than messing around with the TEC and reading verious things im not experienced with them at all so any help would be apreciated. Thanks.
