AMD Next cpu?

1. what is it?
2.what will the speeds be?
3.when will it be out?
4.will it work with my setup?

6.should i really buy an XP 1600?

i was wondering if you have any pictures of your case....my athlon runs 10c hotter and im only overclocked by 287mhz

It'll be called (for now) Thoroughbred. It'll probably debut at about 2000 Mhz w/ .13 micron die. It probably won't overclock too terribly well, seeing as the current crop of XP's don't overclock too terribly well and they use a little bit of the Thoroughbred technology. It'll probably require new motherboard and everything (much like the new XP's do). And you probably should buy an XP, and then wait till the Hammers come out.

Well, for one thing they're gonna be 64bit CPUs. :)

Hammer will actually run dual-ish. They'll be able to run on 32-bit platforms as well as 64-bit platforms.

sorry i don't have any case pics, but the case is next to an airconditioner, and acually has a tube i ran in to it for some extra degrees lower.
