I have an opportunity to get two 2 gig sodims of pc2-5300 laptop ram for insannely cheap (150 USD for both) and i am wondering if anybody knows for sure if it will work on my macbook pro. Apple officially supports only up to 2 gigs of ram, but i couild use more as i do a lot of video editing, encoding, and compiling. Any help would be fricking awesome, thanks guys.

I think there was a problem with mac hardware with endianness, and hardware that you want to put in a mac must have some sort of different firmware for mac, tough I might be mistaken.

Just stick it into the Pro and let it roll

I am sure it will work unless Mac OS X doens't support it...

Just like XP... I think XP supports it but somehow over 3G there's some

problem...
