Msn install problem

so, after new install im trying to install msn messenger and i get the following message

extracting file failed. it is most likely caused by low memory (low disc space for swapping file) or corrupted cabinet file

i downloaded from the official site (so it shouldnt be dodgy), i have 66GB on the main drive left and my virtual memory is set to 2302-4092.

has anyone come across this and can u please help me out? thanks,

oh, btw, i have tried to delete the downloaded install file again, but everytime i try to re-download it, its already there straight away (its 15mb......) im guessing its still in temp files somewhere???

I Googled the first part of your error line "Extracting File Failed" and put "With MSN" at the end. It came up with a number of forums and I went through some of them turns out to be a problem with the new MSN Messenger LIVE! (Version 8.0).

Here's the forums where people have or still having the same problem.

I would recommend 7.5 has 8.0 is still dosn't really offer anything new I think, I could be wrong just try them 8.0 if you don't like try 7.5 see what happens.
