Has anyone used the new enermax 431w psu with an epox mobo? If so has enermax resolved that conflict with the epox mobos yet? i just order the new 431w and am wondering if i should cancel the order if they haven't resolved the issue... :burn:

What is this conflict?

I am in the market for a 550watt Enermax and the Epox EP-8KHA+ or a MSI KT266A, haven't decided completely yet:(

What problems could I have with this combo if I get the Epox?

Thanks:)

basically the enermax psu's where having problems with the 5v and the epox mobos. So the mobo would have some very strange behavior (like the screen flickering, which i found out the hard way :( ) So im just wondering if anyone with an epox mobo has gotten the new enermax?

Seems as though most experience terrible 5V rail voltages when combining the 8K7A(+) and Enermax PSUs. Not sure if it's just the 8K7A series or not. The 8KHA+ is known for low 5V rail as well...mine is about 4.83V-4.76V under load. Have a new PSU coming in Monday that hopefully will get that up some.

it looks like the conflict has been resolved in the new enermax psu's.. Tho the 5v is still a bit low, but thats just the epox mobo.. :D

The +5v rail problem wasn't just with the Epox boards. I have an Iwill KK266 and the +5v rail was always trouble with the Enermax, until I replaced it with an Antec 400w. Haven't heard if they have fixed the problem with the new psu's.
