If your motherboard has sata connections, then i don't see why not.

I am assuming that your asking this question because your mb has a lack of SATA2 support...

Sata 2 hds are backwards compatible with SATA1 and SATA2 mobos are backwards compatible with SATA1 HDS.... there should be no problem with running a SATA2 hd on a SATA1 mobo other than the fact that you wont get all the benefits of SATA2 (Extra Bandwidth, NCQ...)
