Tankguys should be on the scene here before too long. They have multiple orders from authorized Intel distributors. If they're loaded up in those distributors warehouses the time has come. :attn: Let's do this.

Well, the first 965 board came out a few days ago, and that was thought to happen arund the time that intel released the conroe. So, maybe we are very close. I hope by weeks end it will all be released.

I'm not sure if you guys missed the humor, but Best buy seem to have a shocking Reseller Rating!

Typically, you had customers speak in this vein:
rdered four items. went for in-store pickup non-sale items were there but sale item on which I based purchase was not. Bestbuy said the item was no longer sold despite my order in hand and being in store within 24 hours of order. so they said they had cancelled. no rain check.

ok, this made me a bit troubled, BUT...

today sunday, 48 hours later, I look at the new specials and there is the same exact item for 4x the price! I confirmed by calling store.

classic bait and switch.

Bestbuy said they had changed the "SKU" therefore the item was "different."

same exact product number by manufacturer, same package, same warranty same EVERYTHING, but Bestbuy thinks by changing their own internal SKU/product number they can claim the product is different? sorry this stinks of fraud and bait and switch.

I don't use those terms lightly I worked in retail a long time an feel that retailers should be given latitude for price mistakes and runs on stock. but best buy insisted it was not a price mistake, but simply that they no longer carried the item -- that is a boldfaced LIE.

:D :D

Remember folks, the sale-people have nothing to do with this, the store-manager usually holds them at gun-point.

Does anyone dare purchase it from any of those vendors?

yea I still have 2 coupons there. Problem is I never heard of this side of BB and it's not listed in the BBB as a another side of BB which smells fishy to me.

Woot I Have a E6400 Pre-Ordered through TGs. In a quick response from customer support, they said they still did not have a firm ETA. If I was a betting man, I would say C2D(non-XE) will be at retailers by weeks end.

@ greenmaji: I believe the P5W DH will be board to run in terms of FSB. In the last 3 years Asus has released some amazing Intel 775 boards. When my Conroe gets here, this DHs FSB is going to get tested.

Well I am one such idiot, but I did get a tracking # for one of three shipping today, or so they say, so we'll see.

Yea, I left them out because they were asking way to much IMO

They are asking WAY too much, but the list should be complete and consumers should make the call. That price won't stay that high past the weekend if even tomorrow ;)

If Intel runs out of them then you wouldn't get one/you would get your money back.. Big gamble
