I'm thinking about picking up this PSU (or the mushkin xp-650) and noticed that cpu1 & cpu2 power connecters are on differen't rails, My current motherboard supports EPS12V, so if I were to use both connecters (8 pin) my cpu should be able to draw around ~36A correct?

If it came to that. However, on the OCZ 12v2 is also shared with one of the PCI-E connectors. Fortunately, there's no CPU that's been made that will need anything close to 36A. Even 20A is a stretch.
Either PSU will do fine, but my recommendation would be for the OCZ. The Mushkin is midgrade Topower, while the OCZ is OEM Fortron.

Ah, that's what I thought.
When I bought my 1800XT I had to downclock my 820 a lot due to my enermax not being able to keep up anymore. 2 12v @ 18A won't cut it anymore. Yeah, cpu2 is shared with PCI-E2 which won't be an issue.
Thanks for your input.

Given that this unit appears to be a rebadged Fortron FX700-GLN, I'm not sure if it is able to go past 15A on each rail (independently), since that is what Forton FX700-GLN has them capped at.

Actually, FSP has increased the ratings to 18Ax4 while also telling people the overcurrent limit is actually around 20A or so.

When did this happen?
and when did you switch to the ST56ZF?

I don't think it was too long ago the switch happened - there's probably a lot out there that are still rated 4x15. FSP has had them ready for the higher rating for a while now IIRC, they just needed approval to put the stickers on which was a recent development.
I swapped my FSP 600W with jonnyGURU's review sample ST56ZF. I am very, very, very happy with it. It's not batting an eye at my 5v heavy XP rig.

He sells his review samples? I'd love to get my hands on that Seventeam rebadged Coolermaster cheap.

He's a friend of mine... it was a straight up swap. Probably didn't hurt though that I'd never even used the FSP.
