I need a DOS based program that:

Tests sound on laptops
Shows all colors (checks for bad pixels)
checks memory
checks anything else that could be tested.

Any recommendation ? Is there an all around package that will work with the sound drivers on newer machines ?

there used to be a program back in the day that you could boot off of floppy (bypasses dos and runs its own os) and it would run various low level tests. it was called PC Technician, but this was 386/486/Pentium era, not so sure it would work that well on newer hardware.

all of the new dells that my school got have a utility partition that tests pretty much everything, including stuff like L2 cache and different stuff like that. im not sure how reliable it is, but it can detect bad ram.
