Can it? if so how bad and can it hurt the oc on your video card?
just woundering. i got my new enermax Liberty 620W and my buddy has a $25 psu and he cant oc that well. i forgot what i could oc with a little bit better psu when i had his same mobo and cpu but now i got a 3200+ and he can get his 2500+ over 2.2ghz

Most certainly as good voltages ensure stability, not only can a good PSU help obtain a decent overclock but it will ensure that its stable once it gets there... just try running a standard P4 with a power hungry graphics card on a 250 watt and you will see :D

But all so remember its the one thing that can take every thing else with it, if it fails, something to think about.

Yes, the $25 PSU is more then likely holding your freinds OC back, likely a week or unstable rail. He could test it, but to be honest if he got it for $25 he might as well sell it or salvage it for parts and get a decent unit.

ok we used mine in his and he got to 2.8ghz but dident wanna try any higher because he dosent wanna hurt his cpu untill he has a new one. I told him to get a new psu.
