Need help

Hello. I don't really know with forum to put this on, but this is my problem. When I shot down my comp, it shots down, but all the fans stays on, and monitor won't go off, but got in to black screen (nothing on it), and just stays like that, but some times it shotsdown normally. I got new 300 w power supply ( it did that before), system not overclockt, temp normal. Tried to clear CMOS, nothing changed. It steal doing it.
Please reply with any ideas.

I'm not quite positive that this may be the case, but check in your bios to see what the "shut down" is set to do. It may be set to go into a sleep mode rather than a true shut down.

Another place to look is inside Windows power savings. I don't have Win 2000, but there are some settings for power savings mode that may be interfering.
