problem in BF2

I have this problem in BF2 where game is running fine, then all of the sudden, the screen will freeze for 5 seconds, then catch its self back up, usually making me die.....I haven't really experienced this problem up until just a few days ago. At one point it seems like lag, and at another it doesn't. When it does do it though, the hard drive light lights right up. Any suggestions? I have checked my vid card and cpu temps when this happens.

Sounds like either an issue with your Internet connection or could be lag from memory. It's a known fact that Battlefield 2 really benefits from having 2 gigs of memory. I used to suffer from similiar issues when I had 1 gig of memory, and when I went to 2 gigs it was like night and day and the issues went away. BF2 is a memory hog and needs every bit of 2 gigs of memory

hmm...thanks for the advice. I wonder why all the sudden its doing this...was working fine before. Seems to do it alot more if I am flying.

yeah, i know what you mean. All my problems went away when i got me a 7900gtx and another gig of ram :p

i just got another 512 of ram (1.5gb total) and it made a HUGE difference
