I saw the new 512 MB versions of the 7900 GT's on Newegg today.

Has anyone had a chance to try one out yet? I see they even have a higher stock clock than the original KO, 560Mhz. Anyone know if they are any different from the original 7900 other than having more RAM and a higher overclock?
I'd love to hear some opinions on the value of an extra 256MB of RAM on the 7900GT. Do existing games take advantage of 512MB? Will next year's games utilize 512MB?
What do y'all think of this card versus the eVGA 7900 GT KO Superclocked? The Superclocked model has 20MHz more on the core and 40MHz more on the memory. Would the extra 256MB of memory trump the faster clocks (assuming one does not overclock the video card via their bus speeds). The Superclocked card has a street price below $300, while the 512MB variety is fetching $360.
I'm due to purchase a card in the next 2 or 3 weeks and I hope to make a decision that I don't regret later. Any opinions/advice/etc on the two cards mentioned above would be appreciated.

the extra frame buffer is worth it, but its voltage is lower, and a X1900XT would be the better buy for that price. 350+ for 512MB's but only 230-240's for 256 7900GTs. Not worth it.
The part number for the 512MB 7900GT is 512-P2-N568-AR. Per the thread linked below, an Nxxx part number without an "8" in the middle uses sub-standard RAM. Perhaps this is cause for concern on the new card... perhaps not <shrugs>.

$120 for 256mb of ddr3? That seems a little excessive.

im debating between an eVGA 7900 (256-P2-N583-AR) and the 512 7900 (512-P2-N568-AR)
I wish I could see fear / quake 4 benchmarks to see if the added ram makes any difference.
