Well, like the sun rises, the ballistix die. My 2x1gb are starting to go. Since they are no longer made, I will probably get a refund. I've been out of the OC scene for a bit. So, what are the current best DDR 2x1gb sticks? Although, I should say best, because the ballistix were "the best" and look where they've taken us. So I'll rephrase that with "the best, more reliable sticks"? I'm still using the same hardware config in the sig.
G.Skill PC4000 "HZ" i believe they are called. Very GOOD sticks...alot have been known to travel to 270+ with decent timings.
Recently the G.Skills have been doing very good. I've seen many of the 2GB kits run up to 280mhz! Ive got a set and I couldn't be more happy. For 24/7 use I have mine running at 250mhz 3-4-3-8 2.6v. You can get them for about $180 over at newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231021
