We just bought a few dell laptops and when they go on standby (from lack of activity) the internet connection goes out. Is there a way to let it go on standby but keep the internet connected? (we have wireless)

thanks,
brian

I don't believe there is a way to keep networking going during sleep mode because the disks are powered down. To save the most power just let it turn off the monitor, I think thats the only way to save the most power and keep the networking alive.

look if you can exclude the wireless adapters from standby somehow. devicemanager, powermanagement or such.

Networking doesn't have anything to do with hardiisks powering down at all.
