the benchmarks i've seen show that the 7600GS > x1600pro in games, but the 7600GS < x1600pro in 3dmark, so do you want bragging rights (lol), or ingame performance?

edit:
also, get the 256mb versions... you dont need to waste money on an extra 256mb ram for low/mid-range cards.
