right now i have my processor at 1350 (108x12.5) but i'm thinking about setting it back to 1333 so i can get a higher fsb without getting too hot...hopefully i'll get better performance overall.

jeff Why not just set the MoBo to 133/33 & start O/C by adding 1MHz at a time to the FSB? Even if your chip is a 200FSB variant it should run at 266FSB without a sweat:cool:

because my heatsink sucks a big one and i need better ventalation but the way that my dorm room is set up i can't. this summer when i'm back at home i will have my computer set up right next to the air conditioner in my room....hello 1.4ghz+ :burn:

I can almost run my T-Bird 1.2@1.4, with the vcore at the max 1.85. I don't think there will be a heat problem changing your FSB to back to 133.

well when i mean heat problem that's relative to what i think is too hot...i don't like it idling at more than 90°F, about 33°C. but just for the record, what settings do you have for your 1.2@1.4...max vcore voltage but what about I/O voltage? multiplier etc. and what kind of cooling do you have?

What bios are you currently running? 3R and 4A have settings all the way up to 1400. (10.5X133) I checked on my vcore, and it reads 1.92 when set to 1.85. I think because of SETI@HOME! :) My I/O is set to 3.6.

i haven't ever updated my bios, so i don't know. right now my vcore is @ 1.85 and in VIAhm it reads 1.89.
jeff
If everything is working now, with no instabilities. I wouldn't worry about a new bios. I would recommend it, if you decide to run over 1.4. Remember, 3R and 4A increases your cpu temps up to 10 deg.

R u serious about how cool you want that thing because I wish I could get those temps, if your at 1.2 and with a 30c or below temp, I'l trade you, mine bairly stays below 50 and it's never caused me problems; crashing, etc.
