Ok, here's the deal. One of our members has entered a contest sponsored by Asus for computer mods. He is currently in second place, but is 300 votes behind the guy in the lead. Linkage here (http://event.asus.com.tw/EXPO2001/challenge/vote.asp). Look for the Jimmy DeLuca case, the sweet blue one.
The guy in first entered a computer in a old wooden box. No creativity there, get box, cut holes, and that's about it. Jimmy put some thought and creativity and time into his case. Go there and give him a vote. Help a forum brother out.

that is one KILLER case...the nuclear symbol is so awesome, i had actually thought that that would be a good idea for a case but seeing someone actually do it is awesome! i think the appeal of the wooden case is its originality over standard boxes, but other than that i think a lot more of the blue case, its tight!

hmm...It says I already voted...but I haven't ever been there until I read this thread.
something is fishy....
well i would have to agree that the mooses case does suck ass.
i like the got Asus' case it has a cheap quality that appeals to me:D
and i vote for jimmy 8D:beer:
I voted for our group member's case but I disagree with the bad press you all ('cept spike) seem to be giving the moose case. I think it's got a unique style. I just hope that that case isn't as old as it looks, if Moosehead actually used to be available in wooden boxes instead of cardboard ones, and those cases haven't been available for a long time then I think it's a shame what was done to such a marvelous piece of Canadiana. A box like that belongs in a beer museum.

It's not done by cookies, I've just checked using adsubtract Pro (logs all your cookies). They must log you ip address or something.

Site uses IP logging to track votes.
My Linksys router and isp usually use dhcp, but a few weeks ago they were upgrading servers, and to connect I had to enter ip info manually...........when the subnet is not busy it is amazing how many ip addresses are available............................:)

Ok, I've votes at least 20+ times on his case. I'm sure the guy with the beer case is having his friends do the same as us. I'm kinda in a moral delimma (<-SP?), right now. I really don't want to screw up Jimmy's chances by doing this. I just think that he's got the best looking case there (...aside from mine which I didn't enter, because I didn't want to be a show off... ). I'm just wondering what Jimmy's opinion on what we're doing is on the whole thing. He's definately got skill and talent in the case modding area, and I think he deserves to win regardless of what the votes say. He's got the gut's to have entered in the first place (Notice no one else from OC.com entered?), and he 's a fellow OC.com member. I'd really like to know how the Mods and more importantly, Jimmy feel about us voting multiple times.

what did he even win a case of beer? ;) no seriosly cuz his mod sucked.
I actually didn't think it was a bad mod, more than one of his competitors, including Jimmy, did better, more involved mods, but his was good as far as it went. I was disappointed that such a conversation piece as that box would be destroyed just to win a contest. I think he won (if he didn't cheat) because of the novelty factor. Then again the milk crate thing was pretty novel too.
jimmy should have painted the cd drives. he would have won then.
