Currupt registry when i change some memory settings

Well it seems like when i change my dram voltage higher or lower(2.7v is what its on now) once i boot into windows I get a message during startup on my desktop saying that the registry had become currupt and repaired, so then if/when I restart my computer and I keep the dram setting set the registry will get currupt and the only way to fix is doing a windows repair install. If I put the dram setting back to 2.7v *AFTER* I get the warning that the registry was currupted and repaired then everything is fine.

does window still get corrupt if you change the ram slots and then change the voltage?
