View Full Version : Trying to burn Mandrake 8.1
OK so i'm trying to burn Mandrake 8.1 to a cd I burn it and try to install it now when I get past the screen that says press enter to continue with installation or something like that it goes to this screen that says this CD does not look like a mandrake installation CD WHEN IT IS!!!!!!! What is wrong I tryed all the other CD's I used my TDK VeloCD Burner and a Nero Burning ROM to burn it to CD. Whats wrong please help I am trying to install over Redhat 7.0 PLEASE HELP ME I'M CLUELESS!!!!!!!!!

Are you tring to burn an ISO to cd ?
No I unpacked the ISO and then burned it but I still doesn't work.

I suggest just buring the iso to a cd, i think nero does that, if not, try adaptec easy cd creator, it works great.
Nero should work fine. Just open up nero, click to "Burn Image" and point it to the ISO image you want to burn. Should work like a charm.
ok which button I don't know which one you are talking about i'm using nero 5.0
Use the ISO option in Nero and then select the image..
The reason being is because the CD has a direct dir to it.. And it doesn't work if you unpack it ..
Just open up Nero. Click on File, scroll down to "burn image" and select it. That will open up a search window to find which image file you want to use. Then just point it to the right file and select it.

One note...nero will say something about it being a "foreign" file because it's an iso image and not an image created with Nero. just ignore it and burn the image and it'll work fine.
