If I said I wanted to stick watercooling in a Lian Li PC60 Case, (closed system), and THEN (really nuts bit) Take it to Lan Parties...IE move it around!

[PCA]Pheonix,

YES!!!

But only because that is one SMALL case, it could be hard to fit all that stuff in there- moving it won't be a problem at all; a well-built system doesn't leak no matter how you orient it.

Give it a shot man, I'd love to see it done.

kewl!

Nice to see the support and thanks for the welcome!

I think it will fit, I'm looking @ using small stuff, and its not going to be my main system so its not gonna have alot in it!

I'm thinking of using a Black Ice Prime the small one, and a 120mm fan or somming

The black ice is a good radiator choice.

May I ask, what you plan to watercool, this will
give us a better picture of what radiator will be
most efficient & economical, for the restrictions
required.

Also if you have a digital camera please post pictures,
and also maybe make a BMP or JPG of your plans.

I dont have any definate plans as tyet, but I'm looking to cool a duron of some description, on a cheep (but not rubbish) motherboard, with like 1 HDD and a CDRom..as a second system and lan party server

It needs to be resonably quiet because I want it to do Seti while I'm @ home asleep in my room (where the PC will be) Also, I want to do watercooling cos it sounds kewl (or is that a thick approach? ;) )

So you do not have the comp yet...
Wattercooling is a better bet especially if it is in your room.
Then you will not have to listen to as many fans. You could
watercool the CPU, Chipset, Video Card, even your HDD or
other devices if you like!

As you can see this greatly improves sound and thermal
performance. Watter also conducts heat better and is what
make it Ideal for computers.

My PC is in my room and I hate every night listening to all my
annoying 2million decibel fans. Well most is white noise so it
is not too bad.

I'm not n00b to overclocking and stuff BTW, just w/c

Anyway, I know alllll about fan noise /me looks @ Juno P6 full tower with 6 fans, 5 80mm and 1 120mm....I've got a Digidoc now, so thats good.

I'm begining to think, however, that it may not be worth cooling it with Water, because its only going to be a Duron. Also, the case is small, so I would need fans for cooling the rad anyway!

yeah, just use a good hs and a quiet fan for it, mine doing seti right now at 45c (17c over board temp) with a cheap (well not cheap, paid $9 at compuse:mad: )29cfm 80mm fan on my SK6. the sound is much much ... better than the old delta 38

With a Duron you should be able to just use a Pal 8045 and a quiet Sunon or Panflo. It'd be plenty and the combo with the sunon could be had for like $40 from Newegg. You'd save on shipping as well if you got your comp from newegg. Just a thought.
