radeon 9600 256mb vs N6600 256mb

I was wondering if this is a good upgrade? MY friend has a 9600 in his comp and i was thinking of getting him a better videocard. The N6600 comes with a 400mhz core and 500mhz DDR mem.

The Nvidia 6600 is much more powerful than the ATI 9600 but for a few extra bucks you could get the 6600gt.Then your freind will really be happy.

yea....what he said up there or get a 7600GS or even a 7300GT. I had read that the 7300GT will keep up or pass the 6600GT and the 7600GS is a bit better especially the higher clocked ones like this:

Or around $160 the 7600GT kicks all of their butts..

i agree. the 6600GT is an awesome card. i had a 9600 pro and it was basically garbage. the 6600 will allow you to play many games at high settings where the 9600 wont.

but even the low 7300GT beats the 6600GT, and is usually cheaper if I am not mistaken.
