Audigy and Via chips

I am going to get the Abit KR7A-Raid when it comes out. It has the Via KT266A chipset and I was also thinking about getting an Audigy Platinum. Will this card have the same data corruption as the SB Live! cards? If it does then I will get the game theatre XP.

There will be no problem with the SbLive! cards, however the Audigy cards don't like the Via kt266a chipset, so if your get download new drivers and DON'T INSTALL creative PLAYCENTRE as a via engineer said this is what was causing the prob and theres no patch yet.

Wait a sec..i thought the SB live were the ones to have problems with the VIA south bridge...not the audigys.

Definately the Audigys, the Sblives have IRQ conflicts!!!
I was looking @ an article on vias website about 4hours ago!

My new computer that im getting for christmas has the ABIT KG7-Raid in it, along with a Audigy Gamer, why is it sound blaster always has the compatibility issues (not saying its their fault)?

Guess its the way they utilise resources!
Anyway if anyone has an Audigy and WinXP and is having problems then DO NOT install Creative Playcentre as the Via guy said this is what was causing the problems! And there is no patch just yet....
