As I was checking my folders, I noticed that my Centrino 2.0 and one of the instances on my 3800 X2 (@2300) were running the same Protein. So I though, Hmm, I wonder what the difference is (expecting to see my X2 romping on the Centrino)..To my utter astonishment, the Centrino was folding FASTER..See pic Below...Does that have to do with the bigger Cache??

The Centrino is running 300 mhz slower ~ It has 1 gig ram
X2 has 2 Gigs ~ so the memory is comparible...

DMB is the Centrino
Zeus is the 3800-X2

On a seperate note...EMIII won't update the points ?

Pentium M is a very efficient chip, and was being compared to AMD FX's on it's arrival - Yohan i assume is the chip? i recall it beating out some FX's chips previously.

and it is a precursor to what a merom/conroe will do for folding ....

AMD refuses to lower the prices on their 1M cache premium dual core chips, they will only discount the 512kb cache chips like the X2 3800.

Once Intel starts selling the Conroes (now known as Core 2 Duo) in large numbers, AMD will have to rethink that strategy or prepare to sit on a lot of 90nm inventory.

Roger that Audio.

Seems even though AMD might have had an upper hand for gaming chips,

the world is changing & Intel is make some right choices. (IMHO)
