I'm thinking about getting a 24" monitor but realized certain games such as Oblivion may no be able to run smoothly at the native 1920x1200 resolution even with the ATI 1900xt card i'm getting. So I think i may have to play the games at a lower resolution such as 1680x1050 Pixels? Do games still look good or do they start looking blocky when a lower resolution is stretch out to fit the 24" screen? I've never used anything larger than my 19" crt so I'm not sure. If so, I may end up buying a smaller " lcd instead.

I don't have a problem running 1920x1200 with my 7900gt, but when I had my 9700p I would run 1680x1050 and to be honest I never really noticed any degredation unless I looked for it....There will be a difference, but I don't think it's anything to worry about honestly. Any high end card can play games fine at the res, you might need to drop AA/AF down, but I don't have those on anyway because I always forget to turn em on
Here is a pic of my 24"@1024x768. Its still one of the nicest looking games even at this resolution.

I agree 1024x768 does look very good considering it is nonnative resolution. with AA on, it is not bad at all.

? I don't get it, you can't a screenshot and show what it looks like?!?! You need to take the pic with the actual camera and monitor. The distortion comes from 2 pixels having to represent 1 and then some pixels showing 1 to 1 and sometimes 4 showing 1...all intermixed which is why not native scale/res looks off. But as I said in my post, with a monitor this large it's hard to tell unless your looking for it

^^ exactly. a screenshot will shot the video output, not the LCD output.

On my 2405FPW 1920x1200 looked awesome. And with my SLI 7900GTX's I had to play at 1680x1050 to get good framerates. And I thought that it looked awesome. Between those resolutions it looked just fine...I didn't really try any others because all other games would run at 1920x1200 (Or 1600x1200 for the ones that didn't do widescreen)
